Great extension lead with a decent length of power cord. I like that it has surge protection built in and particularly like that each individual socket is controlled via it's own rocker switch. Each individual socket also has it's own power indicator light, as do the USB sockets.

The media could not be loaded. 🔌 This is quite a stylish-looking extension lead, if something as relatively mundane can be described as such. There are four UK mains sockets and two USB-A sockets, all switched, with the USB sockets switched as a pair. Each switch has an indicator light, and the face where the switches are mounted is sloped. With the switches in the on position, they lie flat on the extension surface and only take up a little extra height when the switches are off. Everything is fairly sleek and substantial—nothing like some of the cheap, thin, and utilitarian extension sockets that you find in high-street stores. ⚡ I tested the USB-A outlets for their power rating, and they do deliver 2.1 amps between them at 5 Volts and 10.5 Watts - this is of course shared, but can easily charge a phone. I am also really into having all the mains sockets switched so that individual outlets can be powered off to save power. If this were placed behind the television and games consoles plugged in, you could power them off with the switches to save standby power. The extension has two mounting holes on the back for screws (not supplied) so that the extension can be secured to a wall or the back of a computer desk. I am going to use this behind the television, and the USB sockets can power some LED mood lighting that runs off USB. ⚡ The red reset switch on the side looks a little out of place but serves to reset the extension in the event of a power overload. I did not test this piece of functionality, as it would have been an unsafe test for me to do, but the extension is certified, and interestingly, it is the first device that I have seen to only carry the new UKCA markings and not the CE one. 🔌 There is a lot of attention to detail to justify the somewhat steep price for this extension. All the rear screws are the triangular security type, the cable exit has a small strain relief, mainly to protect the flex from abrading where it exits the housing, and the plug carries a cardboard wiring diagram. The plug earth pin is full length brass and compliant. The overload cut off and shuttered power sockets are the two major safety features, though the shuttering is already a UK safety requirement. 🔌 If I were being really picky, I would prefer that the flex was not done up quite so tightly in the box, with a wire twist, as the cable had some kinks in it from the elongated box. Some might also not like that the USB power is built in because if any of them fail, that part of the functionality can’t be replaced, but you wouldn’t buy this extension if that really bothered you. It was quite hard to find anything to dislike about this device except the price, but perhaps you get what you pay for. This looks to be a reliable and well-thought-out piece of kit, and if I needed to place an extension in, say, a child’s bedroom, then this one would be a better choice over a version costing half the price with half the quality. ✔️

This is a good extension lead and what I needed to run from a socket from a house with minimal plug sockets I like that you can individually turn off the sockets without turning off from the main socket
